Other examples of prohibited listings
- Products produced as free samples or testers unless you have been specifically authorised to do so by VegaVend
- Listings acting wholly or mainly as advertisements, including links to third party websites and promotional messages
- Personal data including mailing lists
- Internet domain names
- Online accounts such as Steam or X-Box gaming accounts
- Real estate property
- EAN codes
- Grab bags
- Offers for sale of services
- Service contracts or warranties unless you have been specifically authorised to do so by VegaVend
- Fraudulent or photocopied coupons, coupons priced at higher than their value and coupons that forbid transfer
- Unlicensed pesticides, including weed, mould and fungi killers, slug pellets and insect killers, bird and animal repellents and killers, and any other pesticides designated as persistent organic pollutants (“POPs”)
- Pesticides appropriate for “Professional-use” only
- These neonicotinoid pesticides: Imidacloprid, Thiamethoxam and Clothianidin
- Illegal and noxious plants or seeds, including those that do not comply with regulations on quality, packaging or labelling
- Regulated chemicals or professional use only chemicals
- Poisons
- Some software products including:
- Copied, duplicated or “softlifted” software
- Academic or educational versions of software
- Back-up software
- Beta, pre-release software
- Fulfilment software
- Military software
- Promotional software
- Shared software licences, where all of the licences are unused
- Recovery discs
- Unauthorised freeware and shareware
- Products made available by digital download: VegaVend prohibits the listing of products that are made available by digital download, including “codes” that can be used to access content on other websites.
- Television subscription packages
- Experience days
- Artefacts and archaeological finds that are more than 300 years old
- Confederate flag merchandise
- Lead weights for the purpose of weighting fishing lines
- Specialist printing equipment that is intended to be used for a criminal purpose or where the Vendor knows that it will be used for a criminal purpose
- Nitrous Oxide chargers, unless they are intended for food preparation only and as long as they are not sold in pack sizes of more than 10 units
- “Mystery boxes,” “Surprise boxes,” or similarly named products containing items that are not clearly described on the product detail page
- Fireworks (except category 1 fireworks)
- Products Promoting Illegal Use. Vendors must not promote illegal or prohibited uses of their products on VegaVend
- Stolen Property
- Items that infringe upon an individual’s privacy. VegaVend holds personal privacy in the highest regard. Therefore, items that infringe upon, or have potential to infringe upon, any individual’s privacy are prohibited
- Listings acting wholly or mainly as advertisements, including links to third party websites and promotional messages
- “Washington Redskins” merchandise
- Specific single-use or disposable plastic products covered by Art. 5 of EU Directive 2019/904, including those made of biodegradable plastic, such as:
- Cutlery (forks, knives, spoons, chopsticks and similar);
- Plates;
- Straws (except if they are medical devices);
- Beverage straws made from soft-plastic are always prohibited even if described as re-usable
- Beverage stirrers;
- Balloon sticks for consumer use, including the mechanisms of such sticks;
- Food containers made of expanded polystyrene, i.e. receptacles such as boxes, used to contain food, which (a) is intended for immediate consumption, either on-the-spot or take-away, (b) is typically consumed from the receptacle, and (c) is ready to be consumed without any further preparation, such as cooking, boiling or heating, including food containers used for fast food or other meal ready for immediate consumption
- Beverage containers made of expanded polystyrene, including their caps and lids;
- Cups for beverages made of expanded polystyrene, including their covers and lids.
- Cotton bud s and cotton swabs that have sticks made from plastic or biodegradable plastic, even if described as reusable (except if they are medical devices)
- Products covered by Art. 5 of EU Directive 2019/904, made from oxo-degradable and oxo-biodegradable plastic, (including their primary packaging) even if described as re-usable
- Food Contact Materials (such as tableware, kitchenware) manufactured from plastics to which substances have been added that are not on the union list of authorised substances under Regulation (EU) 10/2011. In particular, this restricts Food Contact Materials made out of plastic in combination with bamboo, corn starch or rice husks.
Note: Vendors who list prohibited items can have their selling permissions removed, either temporarily or permanently.
