The AKIOS CREED GP420 – A beast with finesse!

Acknowledging the increasing demand from big fish hunters for a powerful rod with an added touch of feel and finesse, AKIOS went to work.

The concept was to develop a powerhouse fishing rod that was a pleasure to fish with. One that was capable of handling extreme fishing conditions, casting large baits, and taming large fish whilst providing excellent bite registration and transmitting maximum feel through the blank.

Developed, tested, and meticulously refined over an 18-month period in the hands of one of the UK’s most revered specimen fish hunters, Gareth Griffiths, and North West casting coach and ex-international angler, Jay Pickup, the AKIOS CREED GP420 was brought to life; a beast with finesse.

Under moderate compression, the high modulus carbon blank displays a J-curve action revealing the vast reserves of power in the blanks butt and mid zones, and a responsive tip that offers lightning-fast recovery for the smooth casting of heavy loads.

Challenging fishing situations are where the CREED impresses the most, be it rough kelp and boulder-strewn terrain or strong tidal deep water rock marks. Offering the power to pull through snags yet a tip that provides sufficient flex to prevent the lead from bouncing out in strong tidal conditions.

Top-quality components ensure a truly stunning overall look and finish. Genuine Fuji anti-tangle gunsmoke KWAG guides with black and silver whippings, Fuji sliding screw lock reel seat with EVA collars, reinforced metal band joints with shrink grips, and supplied complete with partitioned heavy-duty nylon rod case and carbon reducer.
