Tobacco Products
Firstly, all tobacco products are subject to strict regulations. Therefore, vendors must adhere to the following guidelines:
Age Restrictions: It is illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone under 18 years of age. Consequently, you must implement robust age verification processes.
Display Ban: You cannot display tobacco products in your online listings. Moreover, you must ensure that product images comply with the UK Tobacco Display Ban regulations.
Standardised Packaging: All tobacco products must be sold in standardised packaging as per the UK Standardised Packaging Regulations. This includes:
- Dull brown colour with a matt finish
- Only specified text in Helvetica plain font
- No price-marked packs
Health Warnings: Ensure that all tobacco products display the required “This product contains nicotine which is a highly addictive substance” health warnings, covering 30% of the front and 40% of the back of the packaging.
Menthol Ban: The sale of menthol cigarettes, including capsule, click-on, and crushball varieties, is prohibited.
E-Cigarettes and Vaping Products
Secondly, e-cigarettes and vaping products are subject to their own set of regulations:
Age Restrictions: Similar to tobacco products, e-cigarettes cannot be sold to anyone under 18 years of age.

Age Verification Statements: Clearly state that age verification will be required upon delivery.
Compliance and Penalties
Lastly, non-compliance with these regulations can result in severe penalties, including:
- Fines
- Criminal charges
